Elevator Sheave Regrooving
On site in the machine room or in our shop
Worn, uneven, or over-deep grooves are what wear out a new set of elevator ropes early and make the ride noisy or jerky. Anguel cuts them back to the correct profile, on site with the sheave still on the machine, or in our shop when it can come out, so the building doesn’t have to replace the whole elevator machine.
Most of our elevator work is around Chicago, in skyscrapers, hotels, hospitals, schools and residential buildings, with emergency jobs in other states. If someone else has already regrooved your sheave, we can also measure it and give you a second opinion.
