Reconstructing Eccentric Lifter of a Limit Switch
Restoring an original elevator switch from the 1930’s for a client. The main part – the eccentric lifter – is used to lift the two copper arms to open and close the circuit. It had almost completely deteriorated and we built it around the small portion that was left.
Repair of hardened shaft and pins of Italian Polishing Machine
The customer brought a damaged shaft from a polishing machine for repair. The two pins holding the polishing wheel were broken. The machine is used in the process of chrome plating different parts.
The challenge in this particular job was that the shaft and pins were hardened. To restore the thread we used diamond inserts.
