How the Line Boring Power Feed Works
The power feed mounts inline with the boring bar and drives controlled feed motion during cutting. Once engaged, it advances the cutter at a steady rate, allowing the operator to focus on alignment, chip control, and monitoring the cut. Feed speed remains consistent throughout the operation, even during longer bores or harder materials.
This setup removes the variation that comes with hand feeding or improvised drive methods. The result is a more predictable cut and easier control of bore size and finish.
Compatibility with Portable Line Boring Sets
The power feed assembly is designed to integrate with IRM portable line boring sets and similar setups. It supports multiple motor options and adapts easily to common field configurations. This makes it suitable for heavy equipment repair, structural work, and industrial maintenance applications.
