How long has IRM been in business?
We’re a family run machine shop located in Chicago, founded in 1953.

Do you sell other parts and machinery that aren’t listed on your website?
Yes. We have thousands of like-new parts (bearings, taps, lathes, mills, gear boxes, refurbished elevator sheaves, and more). Feel free to reach out and we can give you a better idea of what we have available, based on what you need.
Ordering Process
How do I place an order?

You may phone in your order to (224) 435-6999 Monday to Friday from 8 to 5 PM CST
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept bank wire transfers, checks, and debit cards.
Is my credit card information protected?
Yes. We use QuickBooks payment processing service, which provides a secure method of payment.
When will my order ship?
Next day shipment is available for wire transfer payments.
Our standard handling time is 3 days. Once your payment has cleared, please allow up to 3 days for us to prepare and ship your order.
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes

Can I return my Line Boring Set?
If you need to return a product, you may return unused Line Boring Sets within 30 days of purchase. There is a 20% restocking fee and you are responsible for the return shipment.
Parts must be returned in their original packaging and be in re-sellable condition.
Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
How can I request a return and refund?
Call or email us and we will help arrange your return and refund.
Can I return custom parts?
We don’t accept returns on custom parts.

What are your terms of service?
We’re committed to providing you with the right parts from the start. If an error occurs and you receive an incorrect item, we’ll resolve the issue for you at no extra charge. We reserve the right to update pricing and availability beyond what’s posted online.
